  4. Shoe rail installed base of kitchen cabinets is not acceptable
  5. Drawer on west kitchen wall, right hand side sticks

Ah, the insanity never ends.  When we were at the house on 10/28 a workman was going around the doing painting touchups for dings in walls.  We noticed today (10/30) that he apparently used the wrong paint color (again).   Builder informed 10/30.  Turns out the touch up painter had the right color, the wall was actually the wrong color, it has been repainted.

Spoke to salesman on 10/27.  We are on track for the home to be 100% constuction complete on 10/3, with our closing scheduled for 10/7.  The extra days are for cosmetic fixes.

When we signed to purchase the home back in April I questioned the salesman about the "tree per city code" listed on the community standards sheet.  He told me that since the lots were so heavily treed that the didn't apply to us, no one was receiving the extra trees.  Zoom forward to October and suddenly ALL Legacy homes in our end of the subdivision that didn't already have2 trees in front, get additional trees planted, even ones that have been lived in for a couple of months.  It turns out that the homowners association requires there to be at least 2 trees in the front yard, regardless of how many are in the back.  Here are our new Red Maple trees

Last time I spoke with Jeff (10/9) he mentioned that had removed the 2 really bad trees we requested and asked if there were any more that we really couldn't live with.  I told him I thought there was and that I would get back to him on which ones. We marked 3 trees on Sunday with the plastic straps that held the cabinet packaging together. We went to the site on Monday (10/13) and Alpine Tree Service was in the process of removing the 3 trees I marked. As he was driving the stump grinder back to his truck he asked me if I also wanted to remove the tree opposite the two car garage. He mentioned it will probably be very much in the way when backing out of the garage and we said sure. So we basically got 4 extra trees removed today.

Spoke with Jeff (General Contractor) on 9/19/2003 to discuss current issues. While on the phone he asked if I has noticed the interior doors downstairs.  Apparently the framer goofed and framed all of the interior doors to be 8' tall, they are supposed to be 6' 8".  There are 8 doors on the first floor that are now 8' instead of 6' 8", this is a goof in our favor as 8 foot doors are an upgrade.

Jeff stated that he is going to extend the size of the concrete stoop by the exterior door from master bedroom to basically 9'x7', it is supposed to be a 3'x3' pad.  This is to make up for the patio we couldn't get due to the amount they raised the foundation.  (poured 9/25)
